IAP Opens New Office in Dubai

12/1/2011

Cape Canaveral, FL – IAP has announced the opening of a new office in Dubai, the hub of finance and commerce in the United Arab Emirates. Well positioned at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe, the Dubai office in the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone will be the home of IAP’s Regional Procurement Office and International Service Center.

"Many of our major suppliers and vendors are currently located in Dubai or are planning to move to the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone," said Jeff Wrisley, Senior Manager, Global Procurement. "By locating an office there, with a registration as a logistics and trading branch, we can store material such as prepositioned and consigned materials, and source them within or draw upon manufacturing throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council, minimizing the cost of duty."

The new office will enable IAP to focus initially on its procurement and logistics operations in support of projects within the region. As part of the company’s international expansion strategy, the location will also facilitate new business with other multi-national companies operating out of the Middle East and Africa.

Wrisley adds, "Many of the global companies in Dubai are rapidly moving into Africa, and all the major government contractors have operations in Dubai. Working with the local companies to support our strategies in Africa will help us better compete in the marketplace."
