IAP and Riverside Technology Partner on SEFSC Contract
Cape Canaveral, FL – IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. (IAP), in partnership with Riverside Technology, inc., have been awarded multiple contract task orders totaling $29.8 million by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for Technical Support to the Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC). The work will be performed jointly by Riverside and IAP.
The SEFSC is one of the six regional National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) centers supporting the scientific mission of the NMFS. Under this contract, the Riverside team will supply skilled and dedicated personnel to support the multi-disciplinary research programs of the SEFSC, providing fisheries management information for NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) programs.
Riverside and IAP staff will address specific needs of NOAA’s SEFSC in the areas of fishery biology, fishery economics, population dynamics, engineering and gear development, and protected species biology. Tasks for these areas include fisheries data collection, estuarine sampling, protected species surveys and studies, laboratory support, special research studies, remote sensing, data analysis and outreach and education program support. The combination of Riverside’s long history working with NOAA and IAP’s knowledge of the NMFS SEFSC, bring to the table a wealth of resources and expertise to support this work.
