IAP Successfully Completes United Way Campaign
Cape Canaveral, FL — IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. and its headquarters employees recently completed their annual United Way campaign, raising $45,000 for United Way of Brevard. Employees also stepped up to stamp out hunger, collecting more than 4,500 canned food items for the Brevard Sharing Center, and IAP volunteers read to 3rd grade classes in support of the United Way’s focus on programs to improve literacy among children by the third grade. The Company further donated $1,400 to two of its partner schools to help restock their libraries.
“As IAP continues to grow and evolve as a company, the responsibility to serve our local communities and help those in need grows with us,” said IAP President Spence Wickham.
“That’s why we are pleased to partner with our United Way, which offers us a tangible way to help meet key needs in the community. I also am proud of our employees who reach out to fill needs in our community through our schools as well as organizations such as the United Way.”
“The vision of United Way of Brevard is to create a community where everyone in the community has the opportunity to build a good life,” said Rob Raines, President of United Way of Brevard. “Our community wins when kids succeed in school, adults can secure a good job, manage their finances, and provide a healthy environment for their families. With the support of companies like IAP, we can focus on the very things that help build a stable life – Education, Income and Health.”
“Thanks to the United Way, IAP’s support will continue to impact our community throughout 2014,” said Barbara Jerich, Vice President, Human Resources. “The funds we raised will not only help provide a critical safety net of services to address immediate needs, but will also tackle problems from the beginning. United Way collaborates and partners with many in our community to tackle the tough questions addressing education, income and health, and we will continue to support their efforts.”
