IAP Wins NOAA Task Order
Cape Canaveral, FL – IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. has won the very first Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) task order awarded under its GSA Environmental Schedule for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Office of International Affairs.
IAP will draft the 2013 Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act Report to Congress. This critical report will provide a status update on corrective measures for nations identified as engaging in Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated fishing to ensure that progress is made before the United States imposes trade regulations.
IAP will also provide technical assistance in support of NOAA’s International Affairs Council Indonesia Team, the U.S. engagement in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Ocean and Fisheries Working Group, as well as NOAA’s Caribbean Strategy.
Under the BPA, IAP has the opportunity to compete for task orders against only one other awardee, Ocean Associates, over a five-year period of performance. The task orders will provide Advisory and Assistance Services to NOAA’s headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, in such areas as: program and project management; technical assistance; international cooperation and assistance; capacity building in developing countries; preparation for international meetings; and consulting and facilitation services.
“IAP is honored to expand our Advisory and Assistance Service offering into NOAA,” said Will Thomas, Operations Director, Professional and Technical Services. “Our multi-disciplinary scientific teams have long partnered with NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Services in managing and regulating the nation’s marine resources and providing research, remote sensing, computer and data management, fishery observing and monitoring, species collection, and the development of specialized gear used during at-sea research trips.”
